The following are numerical ratings for the league, based on a formula I have been working on in Canada AAA and Canada Pro over the past two seasons. They are essentially just based off of average level, but are weighted to give starters more weight than backups, and to account for position. They are also normalized to a 100 point scale against the league leaders, so for a team to earn a rating of "100" they would have to be the highest level team in the league at every single position. Once games get underway, the rankings will be modified based on results as well, but for now they are a purely level based formula (with a factor for chemistry as well).

If you want to use the rankings to generate a "point spread" for any game, just take the rating difference, and multiply by 2.8 to see how many points the higher rated team is favored by. "Adjustments" that I referred to above are based on teams' abilities to perform better or worse than these point spreads would predict, and are a way to identify teams that were initially overrated or underrated, and bring their rating into closer line with reality.

Hi, and welcome. No change in the Power 10 this week... all won...


The Power 10

1.) ***Official*** Footballguys - 11-0 OR: 1
The guys had another great win last week, winning it by a 32 point margin. They've only allowed 35 points all season! That's less than a FG a game! And their offense has been very lights out all season too.
Last Week: Won 35-3 over the Enforcers.
Next Week: vs the 8-4 Generals.

2.) Las Vegas Freebirds - 11-0 OR: 2
The Freebirds are doing very well this season after moving up from AA. The ownership seems to have done a great job building the team, picking up high leveled players with (supposedly) good builds and having great gameplans for their games.
Last Week: won 36-17 over the Penguins
Next Week: vs the 3-9 Thunder

3.) Boston Nighthawks - 10-1 OR: 3
The Nighthawks only lost 1 game this season... to the guys... to make a good run, they're going to have to pull a good upset over the guys in the playoffs if both teams make it that far. GLB has been known to have some HUGE upsets in the playoffs. Like a lot of 8s over 1s.
Last Week: won 27-20 over the Punishers.
Next Week: vs the 10-2 Maulers in a game that will most likely decide the 2 seed(GOTW)

4.) Tucson Turtles - 9-2 OR: 6
The Turtles stay at #4 with another good win last week. With the clinch for the playoffs, let's see how much noise they will make this time around. Will they turn out to choke again (Reapers) or make a good run?
Last Week: won 81-0 over the Mavericks
Next Week: vs the 5-7 Men of Steel

5.) Richmond Rebel Yell* - 9-2 OR: 5
Last Week: won 12-9 over the Owls
Next Week: vs the 8-4 Penguins

6.) Green Bay Maulers - 9-2 OR: 4
The Maulers were outmatched last week by a now 3-9 team in the matchup(my team, actually). They won by A LOT. It shows how their builds/gameplans are so good, that they manage to win by a lot over teams that outmatch them, by a little or a lot.
Last Week: won 69-3 over the Roughnecks.
Next Week: vs the 11-1 Nighthawks (GOTW)

7.) Dallas Vaqueros - 8-3 OR: 7
The early season slide to 3-2 is gone. Now on a 6 game winning streak, only good enough for #7 actually, but seem to be good enough to make a run in the playoffs this year, as they lost to DDL(the eventual champions) in the first round.
Last Week: won 33-3 over the Bearcats.
Next Week: 4-8 Gladiators.

8.) Richmond Razorbacks - 8-3 OR: 9
This team had a rough start, but now are back in the top 10 again. The 'backs, last year's #1 seed are now back in black, and are now occupying #8 the sleeper spot, like DDL last year was.
Last Week: won 111-0 over the Gators.
Next Week: vs the 5-7 Enforcers.

9.) San Francisco Montanas - 8-3 OR: 8
...I don't know if the Montanas have boosted yet. That could be a dangerous weapon come playoff time. Watch out for them and Richmond Razorbacks. Both teams will be very, very dangerous come playoffs.
Last Week: won 62-14 over Springfield.
Next Week: vs 7-5 Grand Junction

10.) New Jersey Generals - 7-4 OR: 13
The Generals are a small market team, but have some great revenue because of some GREAT players. They have their work cut out for them, but then again, most of the easy part of their schedule is out of the way. They've got a few tough games in a row now.
Last Week: won 17-0 over the Who Dey
Next Week: vs the 12-0 Footballguys
