It was a Beautiful day in Dallas today as the sun just settled over Dallas Stadium.
The fans were just wrapping up their tailgate parties and heading into the stadium in anticipation of a big home win today.
Dallas had been having an awesome season, going 13 - 3 and sitting at the 3 spot in the Eastern Conference. One of their losses had come from the team that they faced today. But the Vaqueros felt comfortable that they would be able to overcome that loss and dominate the Generals like they had done last season. Dallas had also finished off their season on top with an impressive 7 game winning streak.
The Generals were feeling confident as well, although they had struggled this season and gave up a couple of games that they shouldn't have. They finished the season with a record of 10-6 and had won their last 2 games after 2 heart breaking losses to the Razorbacks and the Footballguys. Their season may have been tormenting for the team but they remained strong and fought their way back up the play-off tree. They had made the playoffs last season, but fell to the heavily favored Footballguys in the 1st round.
Just then the Fireworks started to fly.....literally! Dallas had started an impressive display of fireworks that exploded above the stadium and set the pace for the Home team introductions.
The stadium completely erupted as U. Conner from Dallas lead his team to the big star at the 50 yd line. You could see the excitement in every players eyes as they had been waiting to host a playoff game for the last 2 seasons. They were big, they were fast and they were ready to play!
As the cheers gradually calmed and the boos started to come from all directions, you could see the Black and Red helmets looming in the darkness of the visitor's tunnel. In traditional fashion, the Generals began to calmly exit the tunnel. And once again, you could see the smile on their faces as they seemed to embrace the boos from the crowd. Crank Crusher and Rasheed Daemon lead the team to the sidelines waving their hands up in the air as if to provoke the audience to give them more.
Samson Dennis, Rasheed Daemon and Wario Briggs were the captains for today's game and the met the Dallas captains at center field for the coin toss. The Vaqueros won the toss and elected to receive.
Jay Chew was lined up and ready with the Generals kick-off unit, Chew's arm was raised then lowered to signify the game was officially underway. Chew booted the opening kickoff an impressive 74 yds for a touchback.
On their first possesion, Dallas went 3 and out, mainly because of this impressive 1st down saving deflection from Blur Sanders on 3rd and long.

After NJ went 3 and out on their next possession, Dallas managed another good drive to put them in FG range yet again and put them only one point behind the Generals right before halftime.
The halftime show was impressive as it featured Janet Jackson stripping down to nothing and singing Nasty Boys much to the delight of the male fans in the crowd(later reports state that Janet now faces charges for lewd and indecent behavior in public).
The second half started off with stalled drive from NJ and followed by a 40 yd drive from Dallas to put up 3 more points and put them in front of the Generals for the first time today.

The GENERALShad done it.....they had won their first Playoff game in franchise history!!!!
As the final second ticked off the game clock and the cheers from the fans slowly changed to silence, the Generals proudly started making their way to the visitors' tunnel, and with one last wave from Wario Briggs, the Generals' black and red slowly disappeared into the tunnel taking with them the dreams of another playoff game for the Vaqueros.
